Thanks Richard. My next lesson involves a duet with my teacher and I just want to play it as efficiently as possible.
As my beginner book progresses, the training wheels are just about off. That means the "breath marks" are no longer indicated. Is it more of a phrasing thing?
Minor thing but okay, if one is grooving to an embedded YT video and a post is made to that particular thread, the video stops.
Digging this right now!
Any band with horns, strings, moog , and a sitar gets a serious listening.
Oh, Buddy singing 'Sunny' is super cool!
Thanks for the replies. I find it fascinating when learning about the different acoustical properties of musical instruments.

I think it's only for D and G below the staff. As a beginner , this particular combo seems to require a different airstream or attack. I am I alone on this?

Oh yeah! Good stuff. Fixed the link for ya too Bob. (Well, kind of, I wonder if copy and pasting from "incognito" browsing causes problems.)
Here's a gem. These cats can groove. I have the LP.
I just want to thank you all you for the warm welcome. While I do regret selling the "Shew" horn, the Buescher should serve me well for a while. The valve block is a work of art! I guess my saxes will have to go ( 10M tenor, True-Tone tenor in gold plate, Comm III alto and some other relics ).
Looking forward to my next lesson tomorrow.

Thanks for getting this off the ground. I just ordered the 1st Getchell book.
@N1684T I was "watching" that one! A full report on that horn would be greatly appreciated.
I see what you did there!
Actually, my mentor had me go back to Book 1! I'm Okay with that because I find it liberating not having to "play along" with a backing track.
Here's the book,
Can a seller post a "link" to a horn for sale on an auction site or Reverb?
