One I have recently completed for my brother and sister in law. This is about ten minutes away from where they live. A gift.

High praise, there, mate, if I am right about who you are talking about in John Baeder! He’s actually a new favorite of mine. I definitely do not live in a vacuum. I learn from many other artists. It’s a matter of choosing what things I want to use and what I feel I should avoid. Thank you kindly, sir -
RE: Artist on BOARD
I seem to be in a productive stage this year. I have a clear idea of what I want to paint. This is not always a given, by the way. Just glad the juices are flowing. This one was from a photo I took, from the driver's seat of my Uncle's Buick. The passengers were quite panicked, but I assigned my uncle to hold the wheel so we were fine. The second picture is the photo I took those many years ago ( with a film camera, by the way). Then I decided to recreate it in a winter setting. Here are the pictures

It has been said that some dogs can understand up to 250 words. I’ve had several employees who could understand at least that many……..combined, though.

I expect this will possibly not be good either, but for what it’s worth, here is my two cents.
I have played a marching French horn when needed. It has a very horn like sound ( duh). Anyway, I can share a recording where I was playing that part. The advantage for me, at least, was that a trumpet mp can be used interchangeably and the fingerings are exactly like trumpet. It reads the French horn part as well. -

Last Sunday, beautiful sunny, warm day in my neck of the woods, wife and I took a drive into PA specifically for this barn. A long time favorite of mine in Solebury Township, Bucks County. There are so many stone buildings in Pa that I truly admire. Here is the finished piece.

@SSmith1226
TMI here…..we are digressing, don’t we think?
Not critiquing his playing or the other Rockwell of the red haired boy practicing……
I'm sorry, Steve, but you are off the case. More focused agents will be called upon shortly…….
Seriously, though, I think we can narrow it down, maybe. -
RE: Vintage Horn Eye Candy
This is a painting by Norman Rockwell from 1931. Given his reputation of being extremely accurate with his details, I was wondering if anyone here who knows much more than I do could identify what the horn is that is being played here.

RE: Artist on BOARD
Not trying to pass this off as an original, but I noticed that I never showed this "copy" I had done of my favorite western artist's painting, "A Dash For The Timber". I mainly did it to see if I could do it, and it will never be sold or passed off as an original by myself. That being said, I was pretty pleased with the result.
The original painting by Frederic Remington was 48”x89” ( I think )
Like a mural size. Mine is 10”x20” I might have been wiser to make it a little bigger for the details, but this is what I decided. -

My newest painting. This one got on the front page of the Montgomery News, next town over from me. It will be good publicity for the upcoming show in which I am a participant. Always helpful.
