Likely 22b, looks like it has a lot of miles on it.

Conn 2b Gold Plate
I decided to sell one of my more special horns, 1926 gold plated Conn 2b, fully engraved bell along with case kit & mouthpiece. There is some wear from play and age but surprisingly the gold is almost totally intact, horn plays great. I can send a bunch of pics and more details if interested. I'll probably put it up a couple other places in a few days but thought I'd put it up here first. Asking $825 incl US shipping. Thanks!

RE: Bach Symphonic Mouthpieces
I play a Bach 1 1/2 with 117 backbore on my C trumpet and works great for me, I also have and used a Bach 1 1/2 with 24 backbore on C and it is very good as well. For years I used a Bach 1 1/2 with a 7 backbore for Bb and C trumpet and was really struggling with endurance on it as I started playing less trumpet. I have tried a stock Bach 1 1/2 as well but I think at this point I am used to a bigger backbore.
For Bb the last couple years I started using a ACB MV 3C. It feels very much like a Bach 1 1/2 to me and has a little bigger backbore than stock, just feels a little easier to play than my 1/ 1/2 and sounds great on the Bb imo. -
RE: Merry Christmas!
@bigdub
Yes I've also always thought the sound of a C trumpet is very Christmas-y -

@bigdub
Thanks! Yes Eagle Idaho, just down the road from Boise. Hopefully you'll be able to get back out here sooner than later. -
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everybody, i was able to play a little trumpet at church this Christmas so I thought I would share. Hoping next Christmas comes with more live music (&trumpets) than we've seen in years. Trumpet starts at 34:30, o holy night & joy to the world.

RE: What is this Conn? Should I purchase?
Looks like a 22b, "early model". Looks a little banged up and leapipe looks crooked from the shown angle. If it plays good maybe make an offer.

RE: Olds Ambassador Eb Trumpet
@Bob-Pixley
I had one for a while, the one I had played horribly out of tune with itself if I'm being honest. It only had the Eb slides though. -

@Mike-Ansberry
Here is a close up of some of the bell the bell engraving. There is a cherub sitting on a snail if you can find it. -

@OldSchoolEuph
Must just be the camera angle, seems fairly standard Bach to me. -

1950 NY Bach Strad 38 closet queen, not even one ding on it, original valves pop like a new Schilke -

@GeorgeB
Yeah those are called Conn Visible Embouchure mouthpieces, I think they were standard in the kit because I had another 2b with one. They have a red Bakelite cup that could unscrew from the backbore, presumably you could have different cup sizes. -

Vintage Horn Eye Candy
One of the threads I miss most from the old site. Here is a 1870s Boston Orchestra model SARV with original case and A slide. The horn plays absolutely great.

RE: How do you feel about vibrato?
Relating to jazz trumpet here is an interview in which Clifford Brown is asked about the lack of vibrato in "modern" playing. That question is at about 1:40.

RE: Vintage Bach Club
@Voltrane said in Vintage Bach Club:
Well, I don't know when a horn can be qualified as "vintage" but here is my 238 CML Bach (1980):
Really nice sounding horn. Love it, not sure it is a C Vindobona or not.
Bought new in 1981: my first "serious" trumpet.> Very Nice Voltrane, I have a 1980 238 CL that I love as well, I'd be curious to compare with the CML version
