As a result of such good benefactors, and a personal decision, I am going to remove adverts from this site entirely. My hope is that this improves the experience and continues to grow the site. All things considered, I'm trying to do my best here. Can't do much about the lack of content (just think -- when did you first sign up for TrumpetHerald? I think it was 16 years ago for me!)

I'll keep the site going indefinitely...but it's up to you to populate it with valuable content.

And sometimes...people get banned for a few days. No need to get so upset about things anonymous people say online!

Sadly, I have decided to let this beauty go, as well. It's a beautiful, rare, vintage Olds Super Recording trumpet. It was restored by Charlie Melk. I purchased this trumpet last summer and played it maybe a total of 2 hours.

This is a pre-war Super Recording. Very rare. Serial: 8646

Pedal tones are good for a beginner to know. I'd say they're worth at least attempting to practice. Explanations above are more than adequate so I'll leave it at that.

In all fairness, neither Rowuk nor Wilmer are here to defend themselves. However, if your story is correct it simply seems to be an additional example our inexhaustible need to find fault with each other.

My beef, not with any individual I will mention, was with a sentiment I felt coming from the industry. I felt unwelcome as a music student, so I chose to change career paths. I find it sad that the one form of diversity which truly matters, diversity of thought, is rarely tolerated.
