Doubling on a tenor sax

Decided to buy a student tenor sax. Been researching and I am considering buying a older conn sax from a local tech. Not sure what the model is though.
Many people are suggesting I buy a used Yamaha student tenor sax.
I have owed both older conn and Yamaha student, intermediate cornets/trumpets.
Did like the sound of the Conn, the Yamahas not so much.
Is the sound of the Yamaha tenor sax as a vanilla as the trumpets?
Will my embrochure suffer from playing both musical instruments? -
As long as you give a fair amount of time to practicing both, you embouchure should be just fine! I regularly gig on both sax and trumpet, sometimes even in the same gig and it does not bother my chops one bit.
Both are great horns. I have played on vintage Conn horns, but I prefer a more modern horn overall, mainly for the keywork. Both will get the job done so go for the tone and do what makes you happy. Currently my tenor is a Couf Superba I, made by the Keilwerth company in Germany in the 70s. Nice big powerful horn!

Those Couf Superba's are excellent horns. Had a Couf alto.
On tenor, had Keilwerth, Selmer, Yamaha and Conn. Eventually settled of Selmer Alto and Keilworth Tenor.
But we could go on ad naseum. Bottom line. if you're just starting out and don't even know if you'll stick with it, the Yamaha probably has the best compromise horn. And it has good resale value if you change your mind.

Decided to place a bid on eBay for a used Yamaha student tenor that needs repair. Resale value is important to me, otherwise I would buy the Jupiter student sax -

Thanks for the input.
Learned from my mistakes in buying to many trumpets and cornets. My impulsive behavior, caused to much credit card debt.
Decided to buy locally, pay cash for my sax purchases.
It is not possible and this time, but ideally I would like to buy a modern sax.
My focus will be to find the right sax instructor for me. Looking at many videos, forum to get some ideas.
