A friend gave me a 1957 Conn 12b. He was expressing his gratitude for repair I’ve done for him over the years. It is a little beat up but I can fix that. MAN, WHAT A GORGEOUS SOUND IT HAS!!!

Nope. It was from a pro player with the initials G C. Should I know this painter with the initials G F?

I have only owned two Conn's in my life ( so far ) . First was a 1952 28B Constellation I played between '53 and'65 and these days a 1999 Conn Vintage One, and the sound on both was and is GORGEOUS.

1960s King Super 20 Silversonic, 1940 Olds Recording, 1942 Buescher True Tone 400 ,1999 Conn Vintage One Bb trumpet, A 1952 Selmer Paris, A 2020 Getzen 400 and a Manchester Brass ACB custom pro Bb trumpet, a 1962 Conn Victor 5A Cornet.

I once had both a Conn 12b and e Conn 22b, pretty much the same instruments apart from the bell; the 12b has a copper bell rather than the yellow brass bell from the 22b

I prefereer the 22b: better projection so easier to play in company. Both are great horns. Oil the valves!

Getzen, Conn, Melody Maker and -too- many Warburton pieces

I have one, if it hasn't gotten lost in the moving shuffle. It is a fine player, and I like the blow.
