2010 is when it was last sold, not when it was painted. Roberto's works were greatly recycled for generations. Characteristics are mandatory trees and mountains, and suns and skies that don't look like suns and skies.
Yes, of course paintings are always dated when they are sold and not when they are painted.....everybody knows that

LOL!

Wayne's( BIG DUB ) latest work of art. He is locked out and asked me to post this for him, along with his comments. It is a sweeping panoramic landscape painting oozing life.
This painting is inspired by Wayne's local surrounding area of New Jersey.
" A real scene with some artistic licenses taken by me, of course, " said Wayne. -
I haven’t shown you all this one yet........

Did you use conventional oil painting for this or the wet on wet technique and with larger brushes?
p.s. speaking of Bob Ross, I saw a show the other night from his son. Guess what? Same basic style and content but better. And the sky actually looked like a sky.
-
I would say I am a bit on the unconventional style. Some bits and pieces here and there, but a lot of things that I have discovered maybe by trial and error.....and sometimes accidentally!
I will do some of the palette knife stuff, but sometimes it needs a little help, in my opinion through other means, a brush sweeping lightly past, or a slightly wet brush to soften places. or even my finger, lots of times. This is acrylic paint, though. Did you know that? -

"Happy little mistakes?"
Thanks for the comments.

Perhaps the Chinese Bob Ross...

Here is a set of photos showing my process to do a dog portrait. I may not always work this way, but this is how I am approaching this one. I may have to do two posts to handle all the shots. Some photoshopping was done on the first one, BTW
-
Here are some subtle finishing touches. I think I may be done with it, but I will wait a while to decide...

Looks dog-gone-good to me. Nothing fur-ther needs to be done from my prospective.

@Dr-GO
Thanks for the encouragement. But.......I might actually do a little tweaking on it yet. I have the time...I see some things.... -
If you make the dog any more real looking than it is, it just might bite you in the ass...

It might, as I just cleaned up its poop!

At the risk of ruining it, I will not add any more to this one.
( Believe it or not there are changes from the previous stage I showed ) done. Put the fork in it now. I hope they don’t ask for any more details. The “customers” have not seen even the slightest hint of this painting yet. -
Nice chops.

I appreciate that comment, Kehaulani. Here is another I don’t believe I have shown here yet,
-
That is awesome. What size is it?
