That is awesome. What size is it?
I think it is 20”x30”. It is across town in another home, the Cochran's, though....
-
It sure is breath taking.

A very Happy Easter to all.
Here is a little thing I did 40 years ago, on a nice piece of birch plywood. Painted straight on the plywood with a little thinned down brown around the border to act as a stain. -

I'm in NJ. Hillsborough. Central Jersey. What gave you the impression I was in Austin?
-
You said your painting was in the Cochran. There's a Cochran Museum in Austin.

Haha. Pardonne moi. I hadn’t heard of that museum. No, the Cochrans are friends who commissioned me to do the painting in question. They live near me as well, in NJ.
-
My newest thing, also I did a time-lapse video of the whole thing from start to finish on FaceBook for those who want to watch paint dry, so to speak....
-
A commission I am working on, it may be done. The paint isn’t even quite dry yet, and acrylics dry pretty fast!
-
@BigDub
Looking at the painting I feel like I can reach out and touch the dogs soft fur. Man, you are one heck of a fine artist, Wayne. -
Thanks, George. I appreciate that very much.

I can almost see the dog panting.

Isn't the painting missing the cards and poker chips?

Oh, no. This one is an original. I couldn’t very well copy, now, could I?

During the quarantine I more or less decided that I shouldn’t expect to be too optimistic about selling anything, period.
Well, that was not to be the case. Through various connections, and by that I mean a lot of different means, I was able to sell 8 different pieces of art. This one was purchased from someone in Georgia who had moved away from my area and saw another painting posted by somebody on Google. It was in the photo selections of a Church in Rocky Hill, NJ. Somebody I don’t know posted a photo of my painting on Google for Rocky Hill Reformed Church. That is how this person hunted me down, and then also bought this ship painting! -
A new challenge I gave myself is to do a different painting each day for maybe a week ( 5 days ). Hey, I'm the one who made it up, right? I might go longer. We'll see. I wanted to concentrate the subject matter to dramatic sky scapes. Here is day one. Yes, I did complete it in one 2 hour session. It’s small.

This is the painting for day two. From the best of my recollection, I tried to show how it looked driving along a highway from Charleston, South Carolina to Bluffton, SC as I drove, the boredom became exhilarating with the flaming sunset. Here’s the best I could remember.
-
Great, Wayne. Looks like a study in mood and atmosphere.
-
Another day, another painting..
