      I found these two outstanding, yet contrasting, versions of “A Closer Walk With Thee” and was thinking of placing them in the Non Trumpet Music category, but, although Trumpet is not the main feature, there is enough Trumpet probably to disqualify it. So, here it is in its own category. The first version was recorded in 1970 and the second version in 2011.

            It's a slow come back, but I'm getting there.

            1960s King Super 20 Silversonic, 1940 Olds Recording, 1942 Buescher True Tone 400 ,1999 Conn Vintage One Bb trumpet, A 1952 Selmer Paris, A 2020 Getzen 400 and a Manchester Brass ACB custom pro Bb trumpet, a 1962 Conn Victor 5A Cornet.

                That was really cool, Doc. I liked the smooth transition to unmuted near the end. What kind of mute were you using. It sounded somewhat metallic.

                  It was on old 1960's vintage Harmon mute on my 1967 Olds Recording with a torn felt on the second valve (you can hear the clicks in the recording). Its fixed and refurbished now!
