I saw a concert of the Mingus Big Band. Kenny had a solo and as it went on, I noticed practically the entre band had shifted in their seats to watch Kenny. I've seen a lot of concerts with people taking solos but usually someone might glance at the soloist here or there but never staring mesmerized. And this edition of the band had some heavy hitters in it.

Laurie Frink was a marvelous Trumpet Player/Teacher in New York. Passed away much too soon.

The Soloff is interesting and I particulaly like Kehaulani's offering, but honestly, for me these are practice routines and way too much for a warm-up.
I play with a demanding band in both gigs and practice sessions and I'd have nothing left if I used either of these two warm-ups, which is likely great for pro players...but I am no pro, just an amateur who stopped playing for money 50 something years ago.

I have these on my computer and lap top, easy to read from.

Slur everything first, then tongue each exercise. Or reverse, tongue then slur.
