My goal as creator and admin of TrumpetBoards is bring together the positive experiences of both, while solving some of the problems that occurred in past forums. • Classifieds are just posts: Create your classified ad as a post. If a seller is a "Trusted Seller," that means that they are either a well-respected member of the trumpet community or they have had 5 positive sales interactions on this site.

While you any registered member can post a for sale/wanted ad, I have created a new group called "Trusted" sellers. This group will consist of people who have had five positive sales interactions on the forum so far. I am still working on how to determine this...so please post your ideas here. It's a bit of a compromise from the old format on TrumpetMaster and the format on TrumpetHerald, but I believe that it will work.

Welcome, Dan! One of the distinct features of this site is that we have "Credentialed Professionals." In the past, when anonymous users have "flamed" well-known professionals, it has tended to drive them off. I am hoping to restore a little bit of dignity for those musicians as well as help future newcomers discern between quality and low-quality information. Click on a user profile, press the "3 dots" button and you will see a link that says "Start chat." Chat is the new PM.

Working just fine for me Literally, just copy the URL from the browser and paste it in.

As part of this new forum, I can create and modify groups. I would like to create a "Credentialed Professionals" group to distinguish certain posters. Part of the issue we have had in past forums is that credentialed and well-respected musicians would write posts, only to be flamed by anonymous users. With this feature, these people would be clearly marked and any future newcomers to the site would have a better opportunity to quickly discern who to trust and who is....well, less-than trustworthy!

If you would like to be a member of this group, please clicks "Groups" on the top navbar, select the "Credentialed Professionals" group and request membership. Please give some evidence for your request in a private chat session with administrator. Thank you!
