@Dr-GO to elaborate more on the differences. I had my 65 Recording completely restored by Zig Kanstul in Anaheim, CA. It got a whole valve job and it felt and played like new. No pun against the 64, just that I loved playing my King Symphony at the time much more. Therefore, I sold it.

Here is a picture of my LA Recording. Love how is plays and sounds. Way different than a 65 Recording I used to own.

Nice story and remarkable find. Looking forward to seeing those pics once you figure out how to. I was lucky enough to come across an LA Recording myself. Love it and like how the patina has set in too. Once I figure out how to post pics. I'll add them here. Cheers.

RE: Another Christmas gig is in the books
I commend you all for going out and participating in these events. Wether a paid gig or community participation. As long as you enjoyed the experience is all that matters in the end. I've been so busy with work I've put any playing aside. I'm saddened to my core for that and I am proactively looking to change that this year. Hope you all had a great Christmas.

@Dr-GO thanks man. It does feel much the same. Remember the horn porn pics. That was the best. Anything like that here?

Hey everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season so far. We'll, I used to be a long time TM member under name acarcido. Miss all my old buddies from there and the great posts and all the historical data. This forum has a similar TM feel.
So I'm a comeback player and have now been at it for 15 years. I play for fun with friends and church groups but haven't been at it that much due to work responsibilities as of late. So now I'm just jamming out with some neighbors who also do it for fun. Gotta say, we have a blast. We have a tenor sax, drummer, keyboard player and myself on trumpet. Our neighbors haven't complained so far. That has to be somewhat positive. Anyways, name is Art and I hope you have a great weekend.
