@Rapier232 ... and Star Trek has become even more of a cartoon with the new "alternate time line" series of movies. That's what you get when you give the franchise to a guy who doesn't know how to do anything other than turn comic books into movies.

@Robrtx Well, one of the darkest anyway. And I'm not talking about dramatically dark, I'm talking about lighting. I couldn't tell if my TV screen was on or off for most of that episode.....

Many of Shakespeare's plays end with weddings, in some cases multiple weddings. It's a convenient way to tie up loose ends and signal the achievement of happiness and the promise of regeneration.

                      • As You Like It: ends with 4 weddings
                      • A Midsummer Night’s Dream: ends with 3 weddings
                      • Twelfth Night: ends with 3 weddings
                      • Much Ado About Nothing: ends with one wedding and one expected wedding

Maybe that's how they end GOT. Jon marries Daenerys and they rule jointly happily ever after (after offing Cersei). Tormund marries Brienne of Tarth and they make ginormous babies that conquer the world. Samwell marries Gilly and gets promoted to maester, junior grade. Gray Worm marries Missandei. .... but somewhere in the background, there's a MacGuffin that tells us it won't be "happily ever after" for very long. Maybe some of the white walkers survived, to return some day, etc. etc. THEY'LL BE BACK!

Weddings or death, the only two things that really matter.

There are still so many ways this show can go, but I still don't see Cersei winning this one - two full grown dragons can make short work of any army on foot and horseback.

I think that Tyrion and Sansa may wind up back together. They seemed to have a couple of moments in the last couple of episodes, and it would be a good pairing.

I can't wait to see what the next episodes bring!

Yes but Cersei has the sinister Qyburn in her service who has already raised Gregor Clegane from the dead and invented a somewhat effective surface -to-air dragon missile.........

Qyburn didn't invent the ballista - he just decided it might be a good weapon to use on a dragon. Now that Dany is aware of it, it's not something she's going to forget about.

As for his ability to resurrect Ser Gregor, my thought there is that once the Hound decapitates him, or puts a sword through his brain via the eye slits of his helmet, it might be a touch difficult for Qyburn to resurrect him in any kind of reasonable length of time.

Qyburn is an Evil Genius who thinks outside the box.

Dany is the military strategist who launched a "Custer-esque" cavalry charge against a sea of undead warriors at night without the benefit of close air support.......

@Robrtx Good point. On the other hand, the dragons weren't being particularly cautious, partly because they are dragons, and partly because they didn't know the ships had a whole bunch of ballistae on board.
