MARTIN TRUMPET

Was kinda upset when I bought this Martin Imperial Trumpet according to serial numbers this puts this made in 1964 and Wurlitzer had bought the company. So my question is did Wulitzer make changes to the Imperial to save money or were they still the same quality as when Martin owned the company? Also before Wurlitzer the company was bought out by RMC, did they make any changes to Martin instrument's quality?

Have you inspected it carefully? I feel like you can get a pretty good idea of the build quality by checking the seams, solder joints, etc.

@administrator I just received the Martin Imperial through the mail, cleaned it all up polished the valves and the valve bodies. Everything works fine, it had been sitting in someone's attic for the 20, 25 years and the owners Father just passed so it was in need of a good service, but all in all in is in very good shape shape with minimal finish loss. Even came with the original case with the Martin badge on it. And surprisingly no musty smell. I was inquiring about Martins quality after the two companies bought out Martin.
