I probably would cause too much of a stir by posting Calvin the Deplorable cartoons. They are pretty funny though.

That's all very interesting. Science is defined by observation, and there is no recorded observation for the millions of years, etc., which makes it all just everyone's best guess. Most people can't make an accurate portrayal of events 100 years ago, much less the supposed millions of years ago. Who can hope to authoritatively state such a record?
I remember looking into carbon dating a while back, and the margin for error is apparently astronomical. As a dating mechanism it has more questions than answers, yet it was taught as the standard for my entire school tenure.
Anyway, don't know how all this landed under the topic of humor, so, uh, here's a quick joke:
What is green and has wheels?
Grass. I was lying about the wheels.
No proof for millions of years. One reason is that it is physically impossible. PM me if you'd like to know more. The best evidence shows that Utah was covered by an ocean about 4,500 years ago.

As for proof, is there pudding involved? If not, then, sorry.
Sorry no pudding.

One thing that TH has that would help is a vibrant marketplace. How can we grow that?

RE: A little humour
What proof do you have that rocks are a certain age?
Evolutionists have been taking their own assumptions as truth and building "evidence" with them for a long time. The New York Times lies consistently. You can't trust it.

Excellent analogy J.
No it's not. It presupposes that the third party is a lamb. What if they're all wolves or all sheep? Works in other counties and is a heck of a lot more democratic. I'm tired of the premise of "one man, one vote" being a farce.
Which is precisely the problem. Pure democracy will not work because it is easy for tyrants to convince the weak, the ignorant, and the stupid to support them in order to eliminate the competition. A lot of that can be done by pulling the old bait and switch.

RE: I gave up on "Double High C in . . "
@administrator It sounds like you haven't seen the book. It's premise is range development by doing basic skills and progressing gradually in range. One's sound depends on whether you are paying attention to it or not.

RE: I gave up on "Double High C in . . "
Try doing it every day. That's how you are supposed to do it the 2nd and 4th times through the book anyway. If you start to feel beat then take the day off. Also I recommend that if you already have a good High C just start on the 13th day and see how it goes. You can also do other playing just keep fresh. Try using "Rest as much as you play" for your other playing also.
Don't change your embouchure for the pedals. Keep your lip in the mouthpiece.

RE: Getting straight what I can and cannot do
Sounds like a very reasonable answer.

@Kehaulani
When you conduct do you have hushed trumpets like the present day Philadelphia Orchestra or do they play to the back wall like they did in Chicago under Reiner in the 50's and 60's? -
RE: Getting straight what I can and cannot do
@Kehaulani Do you let the trumpets play like Reiner did?

RE: Trumpeters' Gardening Chops
Do suburban farms count?
I had to chop half of the mint this year. Last year it got a couple feet high and when it flowered there were too many bees right around the corner from my backdoor where my students come in the house.
Don't tell my neighbor, who is going to paint his house soon, that I have an after pressure wash picture of it on an international forum.
