B & S 3137 Serial Numbers...

Hi... I am new to this forum and hoping someone here can give me an insight on dating a B&S Challenger 3137 silver trumpet...The serial number is 370843. I cannot seem to find anything on the internet.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try emailing B&S customer service? Since they are still in business, that seems like the easiest way to go, to me. They are German, but a company their size can surely answer emails in English.
