          Congratulations to the buyer. He has bought himself a helluva horn. I know because I played one between 1953 and 1965

          1960s King Super 20 Silversonic, 1940 Olds Recording, 1942 Buescher True Tone 400 ,1999 Conn Vintage One Bb trumpet, A 1952 Selmer Paris, A 2020 Getzen 400 and a Manchester Brass ACB custom pro Bb trumpet, a 1962 Conn Victor 5A Cornet.

            Doc Severinsen is said to have played the 28B during the 50's. I have one and I know it is a cut above other horns I have.

              Doc's Birthday is coming up. He will be 92 on July 7th, and he keeps playing;)

                An upstairs study is filled with Doc’s memorabilia: his 1986 Grammy, pictures of his children, now grown, and of horses and of celebrities with whom he has worked. A bathroom contains hundreds of trumpet mouthpieces and a music stand next to the toilet
