@Shifty I was a victim of Brockmans scam> I was told They could teach me to play. Played a little bugle in the Boy Scouts, I can't even read music. After two lessons, had to pause for health reasons. Within hours Mr Brockman tried to charge my CC with out my consent. I had already paid 1700.00. Got a very rude call from Mr Brockman { using a false caller ID { Bank of America}. Now we have a hostile environment. Lessons were not a teaching environment, but a short 30 minute , how is it going conversation. My contract states 2 lessons per week for two hours each. Instructor appeared to be, either untrained or ? I paid for interactive training.
Short of that, he is in violation of stolen valor laws. Misrepresenting your military service for financial gain is both a federal and state crime.
After a week he turned me over to a collection agency.
So yes he is doing something illegal. Anyone here that has words of wisdom or ? Please comment

Unfortunately, I fell into Brockmans trap. I am a beginner, with no formal music background. Cannot even read music. I was told no problem, we can teach you how to play. I made an initial payment of 1700.00. After two 30 minute lessons in a month. Contract says 2 lessons weekly for two hours each. My instructor was a very nice guy but it was obvious he had no formal training in how to teach. Pretty sure I paid for interactive coaching lessons, not U tube videos.
I had to pause for some health issues. I was told no worries. Within hours Mr Brockman tried to use my credit card info without my consent. The charge was denied. He called me with a false caller ID {Bank of America} and began to aggressively belittle me and demand the balance due. No regard for my situation or concerns with my progress or issues with the course.
After a week, I was contacted by a collection agency.
Stay far away from this person and his program.
In regard to his credentials he appears to be in violation of stolen valor laws , both federal and state laws. It is illegal to misrepresent your military service for financial gain. If anyone here can verify that he was never in Pershing Owns band. I can hand the info to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
If Mr Brockman or his associates read this. Unless you go away, I intend to retain and an attorney and sue you for breach of contract as well as contact your state officials and law enforcement regarding your apparent violation of stolen valor laws.
