I have a feeling Inderbinen is one of those makers who want you to show up in person and trial the prototypes before they start making your instrument. Not sure what use they would have for a dealer anywhere.

@barliman2001 Was that Vladimir Belushi doing the male vocal?
It would rather be his cousin Murat Belushi (Or is that Murat Blues?). I'm pretty sure I heard some Turkish spoken near the end there.
I liked it, my only gripes would be technical: The lipsyncing and the way they hard-panned the twins to left and right respectively made for a weird headphone listening experience.

RE: Count Basie live at The Sands
Looks like you can get it from Italy dirt cheap.
https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/9067502?ev=rbEbay is not the only site with used record sales.

RE: Kanstul Update Thread
@L-A-Horn Yeah, Charles had an auto-reply on his email saying he left already. So I'm not sure who it was, manning their Facebook Messenger account.

I bet you ain't never heard the Surprise Symphony quite this ... surprising! (Give it a minute of your day, it's worth it. Subtle yet not.)

RE: Login page doesn't seem to work with my password manager
Oh hey look, I solved it myself. Turns out that the Keepass DB has a flag in the configuration for each entry, that is called "Hide this entry from Kee". Guess if that flag was enabled? Yeah. I have no idea how that happened. Shot myself in the foot, apparently.
Thanks for putting up with a silly question!

(Thanks for the tip, but right now, I don't have the money to spend on a valve job, much less on a new Meha...)
Today was the day I finally posted posted this fine Meha off to a workshop for valve replating.
I've sort of gotten into a repair hobby myself, lately, but this particular job will be left to a professional. The horn is too nice for me to ruin it with a botched valve job!
Will post with pictures once I get it back.

RE: Is Thomann-USA American-based?
@grune You're right about the horns branded "Thomann". I agree the ones I've tried were not terrible.
But more importantly, keep in mind this is Europe's largest music business we're talking about here. They have a very complete inventory of almost every imaginable (major) brand of instruments. So to say that their horns are made in China can come off as unnecessarily disparaging.

Password expiry - why?
Hi,
Any particular reason why passwords on this site expire?I ask because the current consensus among security experts seems to be that it's a counterproductive practice.
Microsoft gives a good summary of the arguments:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/misc/password-policy-recommendations?view=o365-worldwidePassword expiration requirements do more harm than good, because these requirements make users select predictable passwords, composed of sequential words and numbers which are closely related to each other. In these cases, the next password can be predicted based on the previous password. Password expiration requirements offer no containment benefits because cyber criminals almost always use credentials as soon as they compromise them.
A very good modern way to safeguard our credentials would be to check them against https://haveibeenpwned.com/ or similar service, something even the NIST is now recommending.

RE: Which trumpet to buy?
@administrator
It seems like nobody here will give you the straight answer you were looking for. I think your problem is, if your budget will permit buying a new Artist Series horn, you clearly have a lot of options. If you're still interested in a sort of tally of votes, if I had to take a chance on one of those you listed, I'd start with the Yamaha. I've heard more than one player say things like "I used to play Bach, back when I was a full-time pro. But now I'm playing as a hobby, I don't have the time to practice as much, so I switched to Yamaha." Usually the draw of the Bach was the sound. But the Yamaha was just easier to play. It matches my own experience, too.
I have a feeling that that story says more about the qualities of Bach than of Yamaha, though. I think there are other, equally "easy to play" brands on the market. I just haven't explored them, personally.
Used or new? Depends on what you get your hands on, I'd say. If in the U.S, it seems like the world is your oyster when it comes to used brass, so I'd start there.
