For sale is a Lawler TLCTR Bb Cornet. NOW ON EBAY This is the final version of cornet Roy produced, there are only a few of them around. It has tall Getzen valves (which never stuck on me even once the whole time I've had it), and double shepherd's crooks. I've seen it called a "PS1" because that is stamped on the horn, but that is just a reference to Roy's favorite Psalm. Roy called this his large bore cornet (.464). It has a red brass bell and a beautiful brushed lacquer finish. It is in near perfect condition except for a touch of mute mark on the bell and bit of lacquer wear on the first valve casing where my thumb rubbed against it. I removed the thumb saddle, for my small hands, but it can be easily re-attached if you want -- I have it, of course. No mouthpiece or case is included in this sale. FYI, it fits perfectly in a ProPac single cornet case. I paid $2400 for this horn in 2014. There is a silver one listed on Reverb now for $2800. No trades... It is a wonderful horn, with great valves, big warm sound and excellent intonation, which I am selling only because I now have two Monettes which I now use exclusively. Paypal only, U.S. shipping only.
