    • 1965 H.N White King cornet restoration

I had been searching for a specific vintage H.N White King cornet with a 1st trigger and silver bell for a while. I finally found one in December of last year. It is a 1965 H.N White King Super 20 silver sonic Msster cornet. It has a solid sterling leadpipe and bell and matches my 1965 trumpet perfectly. It did have some issues with the finish and such so I decided to have it restored.

I sent it to Rich Ita in Feb and Finally got it back last week on Thursday. So after an 8 month full restoration I and 1k for the restoration I am extremely happy.

      What's the trumpet?

It’s the less popular Bach Strad 239 C trumpet, ML bore. I still have it.

i always prefered the 239 and the 238 over the 229 especially if you throw 7r or a 7 leadpipe on those bells. I also prefer the 72 bell with a 43 pipe over the other Bb bells so i guess that says something.

As for the picture, I must say, Dale, you look like a very distinguished gentleman indeed.

I was trying to appear so…lol. That was about 40 years ago, but I’m still playing!

Ah the infamous Bach cornet with all the beautiful engraving. I love the engraving on that horn. You should post it here so these guys can enjoy it once again.
