Who broke Rule #1 ?
Now we gotta ditch the site and start all over again in hiding.

I would reach out to Dr. Bergman with any questions you might have. He is a personal friend of mine, a fine trumpeter and our next ITG President. I trust his word.
I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, was the President of the Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Association, have a National Teaching Award named after me (The Gary Onady Award) published Evidence-based Systematic Reviews on allergy reactions AND am a member of the American Federation of Musicians (very proud of that one). So what am I, chopped liver?
I see and have personally cared for and treated nickel allergies (more related to jewelry) for over 30 years in my medical practice. The case you posted is a clear presentation of long duration, repeat exposure to nickel which is commonly seen in a medical practice. So any individual can additionally reach out to me through this thread, as a member of TrumpetBoards. But I ask you to judge for yourselves if you feel my above discussions are on point.
Please do read our disclaimer. I do ask that you first reach out personally to your own physician and then have that physician contact me if they have additional questions. I will provide the background and medical recommendations that physicians' will need. I serve as a consultant to United Healthcare and the American College of Physicians to produce such educational materials for physicians and patients.
Didn't mean to discredit your credentials, only that I personally know Dr. Bergman and he's an empathetic and qualified trumpet pedagogue.

@L-A-Horn Well, I guess you could try one of those new Chinese horns in the marketplace, but I wouldn't expect much for $350. If that is all I had to spend I would try to find something in a used Olds.
Just to clarify, Taiwan is not China.
Now that's a can of worms!

RE: Is Thomann-USA American-based?
I remember hearing a news story about a cycling shoe brand named SIDI, based in Italy. I own a pair of their shoes and they are excellent. Apparently, they have a warehouse in California and it burned down. Most American orders were thus delayed.

RE: Reposting Stolen Horn
Crooks will find a way, sadly enough. I hope it's returned to its rightful owner.

My first name is Austin. The perfect trumpet for me!

@Vulgano-Brother said in Help! I need to hit that high note!:
I have exclusive rights to 8VB whenever I want.
This reminds me of a couple Arturo Sandoval concerts I attended. He would go into the stratosphere and then crash to hell (if you get my drift). I did not know that such low notes were possible on the trumpet.

RE: Andrea Motis, Moanin
Gosh, she looks like she is 14. Some people have all the talent, though.

RE: King Liberty
I'm trying. Still hard to find us on Google. I mean, the site is breaking even now, so I'm not planning on killing it any time soon.

RE: Have you ever heard an Augmented Trumpet? Here's your chance (check out the video) :(
Sounds fine to me. Just like a bagpipe should.

RE: Does a large bore horn take more air?
Well, at some point it does (think tuba). However, I doubt the difference between .438 and .444 is a matter of air volume. Seems to me that the whole horn has an effect, and changing the bore size will contribute to that effect. To some, it may seem like it takes "more air," but this is often an issue of perception and not reality.

RE: Kanstul -- Any News?
We can speculate at the end of the day, but the fact is that Kanstul is gone and they probably won't come back. Sad, but consolidation seems to be the name of the game in our industry today.
