Greetings~
I had a stroke "event" December 14, 2018. All I can say is, when it comes to recovery, be patient. I'm fortunate as I can still work, and have suffered no long term major disabilities. I have a vision loss in my upper right quadrant, a constant ringing in my ears and headaches. Still, at 61, I am active and have a new respect for age and life.
My return to trumpet playing has been a pleasant surprise in that there is no effects from the pressure of "buzzing"! So, onward. Enjoy what you have, we've no guarantees...Doug

Returning to my joy of music
Greetings and Salutations all! I'm happy to have found this resource.
My name is Doug. I hadn't played in over 40 years since High School. After having a mild stroke event in December of 2018, I found the "therapy" of playing trumpet! What a wonderful return to something I hadn't realized I was missing! I have a older Conn Victor from the mid 50's that's been waiting for my return and a recently purchased 80's Conn cornet with a shepherds crook that are my go to instruments. (Someday, maybe a Bach or a Yamaha.)
It's getting warmer here in central PA, I'm not sure if my neighbors are annoyed or entertained by my playing/practice with the windows open!!

New member here. I've heard of this organization. They had representatives at both my brother and my father's funeral.
