Regarding overplaying on trumpet , I believe my embouchur (SP) dystoning came about after years of playin in multiple bands at the same time. I was playing lead trumpet in a good community band and all of a sudden my chops did not work properly. I will never forget that I told the trumpet player on my right to take over as I could not carry on. And that was the beginning of my dystronia. And it never improved! RLT

@thornybob pretty much my experience too - played trumpet HARD with a blues/rock/Steely Dan/Chicago band and I think I gave them my last efforts - ah well, off to Alto Sax - the right hand three fingers mimic trumpet quite well
