Chailly Bruckner 4

I love this recording!

Riccardo Chailly is far and away one of the most gifted conductors on the scene, today. His work with the Concertgebouw is exemplary, and he has continued this remarkable track record into his recent work in the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
If you enjoy his Bruckner interpretations and are also a Mahler fan, his RCO recording from ~the late 90s was a revelation...and then he immediately made another superlative, reference-recording upon his arrival in Leipzig. His recordings of the complete Varèse are also exceptional.
Since this is a trumpet board, I must make mention of the fact that the late, great Peter Masseurs was featured prominently on many of Chailly's best recordings with the Concertgebouw.
Happy practicing!

Played this in high school. One of the most difficult we played in my 3 years. We started in September for spring festival! We graded out perfect, it was either all 1's or 5's, don't remember. The judges were shocked or director picked this. I still get goose bumps!

We did this one too, but not the same year. Might as well add to the classic section. Love the classics!!

It's vimeo so it won't load like you tube.

Just realized I put these in a specific thread and not the general classical, sorry!

I really don't remember much music from high school, other than football season stuff. Amazing how fast the fight song came back to me. Fingerings and all;)
Also the Star Spangles Banner.
